On 17 March, Deputy Commander Allied Air Command, Lieutenant General Dominique de Longvilliers, and Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Brigadier General Thomas F. Gould, visited NATO exercise TRIDENT JEWEL 2015 at Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) in Northwood, United Kingdom.

NATO is continuing to develop deployable air surveillance and tactical air mission control capabilities with the "DARS". This is a Deployable Air Control Centre, Recognised Air Picture Production Centre and Sensor Fusion Post. This capability currently includes 100 NATO Airmen from 16 Allied nations ready to deploy with their equipment on short notice.

There was an air of anticipation, excitement and focus in Poggio Renatico as the DARS (Deployable Air Control Centre, Recognised Air Picture Production Centre and Sensor Fusion Post) was heading out on its latest mobile exercise: Ramstein Dust I 2015 (RD I-15). This exercise saw the unit pack up and deploy from Poggio Renatico, Italy, to Gioia del Colle, Italy, approximately 750 kilometres south.

On 10 March 2015 the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Philip Breedlove attended the LANDCOM Corps Commanders' Conference hosted at Ramstein Air Base. He joined LANDCOM Commander Lieutenant General John Nicholson and the commanders of nine Army Corps HQs from all over Europe to discuss how the Alliance will move forward on contingency planning in support of NATO's readiness reaction forces.
