With the "Exercise Start” declaration Oct. 26 in Poggio Renatico, Italy, the Allied Air Command’s deployable tactical command and control weapon system, called DARS, packed up and headed out in support of Ramstein Dust II 2015.  All manner of vehicles will transport DARS safely to its final destination at Lielvārde Air Force Base, Latvia.

Besides the Portuguese Air Force P-3C CUP+ propeller aircraft flying out of Beja, other ISR air assets used in TJ15 are the P-3C Orions at Rota Air Base, Spain, the C-235 at Getafe Air Base, Spain, and the Italian Air Force MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Predator B Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at Amendola Air Base.

During Trident Juncture 2015 (TJ15) at Beja Air Base, Portugal a special organisation has been established to ensure all participating Allies and Partner detachments that they can rely on aircraft that are operational and ready.  This organisation is the Maintenance Coordination Centre or MOC.
